Zone 1 Championship Event Dates

Come and support the Zone 1 Jumping Equitation & Showjumping, the first Zone 1 events of the year….

Saturday 4th March – Zone 1 Jumping Equitation at Moggill Pony Club
Sunday 5th March – Zone 1 Showjumping at Moggill Pony Club 

>>> Attendance at Zone Championships is essential for gaining points towards the prestigious End of Year Awards. Diarize dates now!!!!

Instructors’ CLINIC (Refresher/ Update/ Preparation). This event will be done in 2 parts.  

Part 1 – attending a 75min Zoom meeting at 7.30pm on either Monday night 6th March or Wednesday night 8th March, covering topics including Rules, Regulations and Policies, Risk Management, etc. Also completing an open book “Gear Rules” written quiz in your own time. 

Part 2 – attending the Instructors Clinic at Moggill Pony Club on Sat 11th March. Register 8am & finish 1pm. Topics will include practical coaching lessons in Sporting & Showjumping demo lessons with guest coach Becky Jenkins End of Year Awards. Diarize dates now!!!!

Showjumping Masterclasses

at Moggill Pony Club, Sat 11th March, 1.30pm – 4pm. Our guest master coach, Becky Jenkins, will be teaching our coaches & trainees how to coach jumping to higher levels

PCQ & NCAS Instructor ASSESSMENT

at Moggill Pony Club, Sat 11th March.From 7.30am. Club Chief Instructors will be contacted to confirm if their trainees are ready for assessment. Clubs must provide 3 demo riders.

Other Clinics

Gear Check Clinic & Gear Check Accreditation – Sat 29th April – aimed specifically at the PCA Gear Check Rules. For details regarding accreditation, visit the Pony Club Australia website, click onto Coaches/ Coach Education/ Gear Check Manual. Available to interested members aged 16 years and older.

Course Building Clinic – Sat 6th May – for Accreditation, Refreshing & Upgrading.
Showjump Judge’s Clinic – Sat 13th May – for Accreditation, Refreshing & Upgrading.

Rider PCA Certificate Assessment 

C Proficiency Certificate Assessment – Sat 18th February. Riders must have the PCA pre-requisite D Star certificate, have completed their PCA C Certificate Workbook & PCA on-line exam, & been confirmed as competent by their Club Chief Instructor.
